Naga peace process to be monitored

Imphal, October 18 2012:
A meeting of the State Cabinet held today has decided to form a Cabinet Sub-Committee to monitor the ongoing Naga peace process with the Government of India in the wake of recent development and confusion over the issue in the minds of the people.
The decision to set up the Cabinet sub-committee to monitor the peace process of the Central Government and NSCN-IM was taken in Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh at the conference hall of Chief Minister's Secretariat at 4 pm today.
The meeting also discussed about the proposed State Hydro-power Policy and other things pertaining to judicial inquiries.
The meeting, however, did not take any decision in this regard.
Meanwhile, official sources confirmed that Chief Minister Ibobi would be leaving Imphal for New Delhi tomorrow.
Sources, however, refused to divulge the exact purpose of Ibobi's visit to Delhi.
