Jiribam, August 18 2018: In the first general meeting of newly named "Rongmei Luh Phuan Tousem", Jiribam area held at PWD Guest House on August 17, new office bearers have been selected.

The selected office bearers include president - Neilaliu Meirengmei, vice president - Jahuailiu Kamei, general secretary - Peiniam Kamei, Asst secretary - Peiniam Kamei, finance secretary - Aluna Rongmei, Treasurer - Adina Rongmei, PRO - Jengdinaliu Dengmei and PRO Thiusingliu Gongmei respectively.

About 50 women from various villages have attended the meeting.

The meeting has resolved to change the name of the organization and renamed it as "Rani Gaidinliu Rongmei Luh Phuan" and decided to function as an independent body with no affiliation to any civil organizations.

Many resolutions were taken during the meeting after much deliberation and one of the resolutions is that the organization will work for peace and harmony in the society and will also empower woman to move ahead in various aspect of life.

The organization also sought cooperation from the people, various civil organizations and leaders for the smooth functioning of the organization.
