ZYF alleges incomplete works

A team of Zeliangrong Youth Front (ZYF) conducted a physical inspection of some important and major developmental works undertaken in Tamenglong district and found the works incomplete, said a statement of its publicity wing.
The District Secretariat complex which was inaugurated on 3rd November, 2011 by the then Union Minister, P.Chidambaram in the presence State Chief Minister and other cabinet ministers and MLAs remained incomplete and failed to serve the intended purposes till date even after 3 years, it alleged.
Only the outer appearance of the Secretariat complex looks complete but on examination of the interior, the team found that final touch is yet to take up, it added.
Important works of fitting of sanitation/toilet wares, bathrooms tiles, flooring, electrification, wall plastering are found cracked and falling in some building, staircase railing, footsteps while side wall tiles not properly fixed and attached, tiles and other important materials abandoned and scattering on the room floor, said ZYF.
Inspections were also conducted on the Road construction work on Kangpokpi-Tamei-Tamenglong under North Eastern Council (NEC) which is still far from completion.
The ZYF team also inspected the entire stretch of Tamei-Tenning road which connecting the State of Manipur with Nagaland.
The team further inspected the road in Zeliangrong areas on Tenning-Peren-Jalukie-Maram to see the condition of Zeliangrong people living along the Peren-Maram road.
The Zeliangrong Youth Front has urged the concerned authority to complete all the pending works at the earliest.
