Imphal, June 18 2018: The JAC against unnatural shifting of district hospital Imphal East Sagolmang, has lauded the State Government in connection with the recent Cabinet decision regarding the issue of the construction of the district hospital.

Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, the JAC convenor BK Nandeibam said that the Cabinet meeting organised under the supervision of the Chief Minister on June 15 decided to construct the Imphal East District Hospital at Sagolmang, much to the pleasure of the people of Khundrakpam.

Pointing out that the construction work on the hospital will begin soon, he expressed gratitude to the people, CSOs, intellectuals, experts and all those who provided unwavering support to the issue of the District Hospital.

He also expressed gratitude to all those who provided aid and support to those who sustained injuries during the protests and agitation.

It may be mentioned that around 30 individuals sustained various types of injuries during the agitation that followed in connection with the decision to shift Imphal East District Hospital from Sagolmang to Kyamgei.
