Stop taking political mileage: O Lukhoi

Wangoi Assembly Constituency MLA, Oinam Lukhoi has said that attempting to take political mileage out of COVID-19 crisis is not encouraging and one should refrain from practising it.
Speaking to media persons at its official residence at Sanjenthong, O Lukhoi said the arguments brought up by the State general secretary of NPP, Khuraijam Loken on Sunday amid the lockdown is very unfortunate.
Taking up the initiative to pump up water from Imphal River for irrigating paddy fields at Mutum Phibou is laudable but he should not make it a political issue, the MLA said adding that attempting to tarnish his image especially at this trying times is very unfortunate.
Since the imposition of lockdown initiatives have been taken up to ensure enough water for the public of the AC, he said adding that fish ponds and paddy fields in the constituency will also be provided water soon.
He also informed that the second phase of PMGKAY rice for Wangoi AC will be distributed from tomorrow.
