Clubs in Keirak roots for Kakching

Kakching, February 18 2018: Six clubs- IYC, SWC, ISSL, YDA, SYDA and PYC in Keirak, Wabagai AC today condemned the proposal of some to allocate the Kakching District Headquarters elsewhere (other than Kakching) citing geographical position of place and warned that it will take up intense agitations if the District Headquarters is moved from Kakching.

The clubs in a press meet today at Keirak Keithel Community hall said that the proposal to place the District Headquarters at a place which is geographically mid point of the district is illogical and impractical.

Kakching now has all the administrative offices and other institutions required to be a place for the District Headquarters, and in fact it has been functioning as one, said the representatives of the clubs.

The proposal to place the district headquarters elsewhere will disrupt the peaceful co-existence of the district, the representatives said.
