MoS Sekhar reviews Kakching projects

Kakching, July 17 2024:
Union minister of state (MoS) for rural development Dr Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar arrived here on Wednesday and reviewed various ongoing projects along with meeting internally displaced persons (IDPs) .
The MoS in presence of Kakching MLA Mayanglambam Rameshwar, deputy commissioner Rohit Anand, North East Circle, Shillong chief post master general (CPMG) Sanjiv Ranjan, and other officials inaugurated the Kakching Post Office building with staff quarters at Kakching Phoushupat Leikai.
The ministerial team also visited the DC Office Complex where he was accorded a warm welcome by Rohit Anand, and officials of the district administration.
Dr Chandra Sekhar chaired a review meeting with the district administration and department concerned including RD&PR special secretary Somorjit Salam regarding ongoing developmental projects in the district.
Later, the MoS along with the MLA Rameshwar and officials of district administration visited two relief camps namely Kha Manipur College and Langmeidong Higher Secondary School.
At the Kha Manipur College, the IDPs presented Dr Sekhar with Kouna reed craft products and inter acted with him.
The MoS also inspected the Kakching District Hospital.
The team also inspected various projects under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS), Amrit Sarovar and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna - Gramin (PMAY-G) at different locations including Langmeidong.
