Monetary aid provided to van drivers

Imphal, January 17 2021: Social worker Toijam Debanand (Deban) provided monetary aid and distributed rice to the school van drivers of Kyamgei and Urup Arapti under Keirao Assembly Constituency today in an event held at Pioneer Club ground in Kyamgei Heibong Makhong.

Addressing the gathering, Debanand said that the school van drivers of Kyamgei and Urup Arapti have been badly hit by the Covid pandemic which have forced them to stop van service for around eleven months.

Therefore he took up the initiative to help the drivers in order to provide some relief amid the difficult times.

He further stated that he will continue to help the needy and will serve the local populace for any requirements.

Debanand also stated that he will contest in the upcoming general election from Keirao A/C.In today's event, monetary assistance and rice were given to around 58 school van drivers.
