State students meet President

Imphal, November 16 2019: 18 students and 2 staff members from Moirang, Kwakta and Kumbi village who are part of National Integration Tour to Delhi and Agra, being organised by Indian Army, met and interacted with President Ram Nath Kovind today.

The President advised the students to focus on their studies and work hard for a successful career.

A guided tour of the Rashtrapati Bhavan was also organized for the students, said a statement of PIB (Defence Wing).

The tour aims at providing an insight to the students on the diversity of India.

During the tour students visited premier institutions and witnessed the strides made by India in the fields of economy, entertainment and infrastructure.

Organized under theme 'Today's Children, tomorrows future of the North East' the tour is an endeavour of Indian Army to harness the potential of children from remote locations and poor families, said Army.
