CM mourns Lt Col Robert's demise

Imphal, May 16 2020: Chief Minister N Biren Singh has mourned the sad demise of Lt Colonel Robert TA of the 3rd Engineers Regiment of India Army on May 14, 2020 .

Hailed from Maram Centre in Senapati, Lt Colonel Robert joined Indian Army after appearing the Technical Entry Scheme (TES) examination in June 2000, said the CM and added that he was commissioned into the 3rd Engineers Regiment in June 2004 .

N Biren continued that the deceased Army Officer was promoted to the rank of Lt Colonel in June 2017 .

Apart from serving the Indian Army in different capacities in different parts of the country, he was associated with different sporting events and brought laurels to his regiment, said the CM and added that the country has lost a young Army Officer whose dedication to duty and love for motherland would be remembered forever.
