Imphal, January 16 2020: Alleging that there are irregularities in the functioning and many projects at the Lilong Haoreibi College, the students' union of the college has called for the attention of the authorities concerned.

Highlighting the alleged irregularities, the student union in a statement today claimed that six classrooms constructed under the RUSA (Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan) have developed cracks at many places due to use of 'poor construction materials.' Asserting that students will be hurt if the structure doesn't hold, the student union appealed the authorities concerned to look into the matter at the earliest.

Further alleging that some persons have been appointed at the college without following the proper channel and rules and regulations, the student union warned that they will boycott classes and lock the Administrative Block if the Education Minister and related authorities do not look into the matters by January 20 .
