People should avoid internal conflicts: M Prithviraj

In Manipur, where various communities have been living since time immemorial, people need to take responsibility to avoid internal conflicts, said Youth Affairs and Sports and Tourism Parliamentary Secretary M Prithviraj.
He was speaking at the distribution ceremony of cycle awards to the poor and excellent students organised by Lions and Lioness Club of Moirang and Lions Club International District 322 at INA Hall, Moirang.
Attending the function as Chief Guest, M Prithviraj said that people should take responsibilities to end internal conflicts within Manipur as witnessed in the recent past.
"If the sections of people, who have the will to sacrifice, are vast in number then, the State will be developed and people should encourage and appreciate such people, said M Prithviraj and appealed Lions Club to be in the forefront while ending internal conflicts in the State.
Award donor Thongam Santi recalled her late parent's hardships while bringing up her siblings and said that the cycle awards are dedicated to her parents.
The awards are given to poor and excellent students with an aim to help them.
The function was attended by Lions Club of Moirang Vice President Lion N Premjit as President while Region 11 Chairperson Lion M Swarupini and Zone 22 and Region 11 Zone Chairman Lion Kh Ibomcha being the Guests of Honour.
The cycles were distributed to a total of 25 students.
