The Chief Minister, according to the organiser will grace the event on April 20 along with Thanlon MLA Vungzagin Valte.
Horticulture Minister Th Shyam Kumar is another political leader who has reportedly confirmed his participation.
Other political figures that will feature in the fest will be communicated to the organisers by the Chief Minister's office on Monday, maintains Lalringum Inbuon, the Organising Committee Chairman.
The festival is partly supported by the State Horticulture Department, reports our correspondent.
With produces beyond 2000 MT, the farmers in the interior area of Pherzawl and Churachandpur districts have been continually exposed to market instability which was compounded by inaccessibility, often resulting in the liquidation of the already impoverish farmers.
The event will be an opportunity to raise their plights as well as publicize the superior quality of the local ginger which is all along organic, claims Inbuon.
Keivom maintains that ICAR has certified that the local ginger products of export quality and holds the potential to attract even foreign companies.
