Bridge construction works begin

Imphal, December 14 2020:
Construction works of a bridge on the eastern side of the Kangla has begun since November 30 .
The resolution to construct the bridge incorporating latest technology was taken during a conference of Kangla Fort Board on September 15, 2018, by the Chief Minister.
A wooden bridge was located at the project site before the coming of the British It is reported that the work is being carried out by Manipur Police Housing Corporation Limited as an implementing agency as part of the Imphal Smart City project.
The bridge will be 58.71 m long and 4.1 m wide, according to the project implementing agency.
The bridge will be constructed with a budget of Rs 4,56,26,157 (approx) and is expected to be completed within a year time.
