Demonetisation : Man apprehended for selling photocopied token

Over a month has passed since Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes but queue outside banks and ATM booths refuses to get shorter.

In the meantime, sources claims that tokens provided by banks and even spots in the long queue are sold to those willing to buy.
The source said customers reserve their spot from midnight in popular banks at the district like SBI and UBI and sell their spots or token in case the bank has provided one, to people willing to buy.
On the other hand, a man was apprehended at Thoubal Khangabok today for selling photo-copies of token signed by SBI Thoubal branch manager, our correspondent reports.
Distressed people have asked banks to arrange a more convenient ways to avail cash withdrawal benefits.
