Senapati, December 13 2019:
The Maram-Peren Road Committee has expressed concern over the current project carried out at 15 km (Kajinglock) along NH-129A by the Bharat Industrial Private Limited(BIPL) .
The committee stated that it does not encourage the stone quarrying at the side of the bridge and the river bed, which is already resulting into landslide and congestions on the highway due to damages at several points.
If such activity continues, it will cause several inconveniences to the people travelling along the highway as well as to those people living near NH-129A .
Considering the plight of the villagers, the Maram-Peren Road Committee appealed the BIPL to stop their project at the 15 km (Kajinglock) immediately.
BIPL should hold full responsibility for any inconvenience or untoward incident, if they fail to pay heed, warned the committee.
The Maram Peren Road Committee under the chairmanship of MK Gogo and its general secretary, Rampau Sebastian also requested the BRTF to expedite their maintenance and construction work at NH- 129A from Tamphung to Peren.
