EK Higher Secondary School appeals

Governing body and staff of Enlighten Knowledge (EK) Higher Secondary School, Sangakpham, Imphal have appealed the State Government and authorities concerned to release the arrested students and teachers of Manipur University unconditionally to bring back normalcy in the varsity.
They also asked the students' community to calm down and cooperate in the efforts to bring normalcy in the varsity.
Speaking on the sideline of a prayer offering ceremony conducted inside the premise of the institute for the success of the institute's students who will appear this year HSSLC (Class 12), EK Higher Secondary School's Governing Body secretary P Saratchandra Sharma made the appeal on behalf of the institute to both the State Government and authorities concerned.
He informed that former students of the school are among many arrested by the police.
Saying that students are the pillars of the Nation and teachers are the important members who shapes a society, Saratchandra asserted that the two communities does not possess any criminal intention even if they happened to carry out unwanted deeds during the course of their agitations.
Observing that time has come for the Government to consider this perspective, he urged the State Government to 'forgive and forget' the forms of agitations the students and teachers had endorsed and requested their immediate release without any conditions attached.
The prayer ceremony is held annually to receive God's blessings as well as to build up confidence in the minds of the students, said school authority.
