Imphal, January 13 2021: A 3-day Cultural Workers and Activists Forum Festival 2021 began today at Hongnemshang Auditorium at Changangei Ucheckon near Imphal Airport.

The festival is being organised by Cultural Workers & Activists Forum, Manipur (CWAFM).

The inaugural function of the festival was attended by Heirok AC MLA Dr Th Radheshyam as chief guest.

CWAFM chairman, Budha Chingtham; HVS Construction Private Limited Imphal, Managing Director, Huidrom Vikram and NEROCA FC president Arunkumar Thangjam also attended the function.

Speaking as the chief guest, the festival is being held under the theme "Reconstruction of cultural memory".

He also said that Manipur culture is revered by people around the globe for its uniqueness.

The first day of the festival saw a variety of cultural items such as wari leeba (story telling); Thang-Ta; classical dances; khongjom parva; tribal song and nokphade play from different artistes.
