Imphal, May 12 2012: Condemning against the killing of three surrendered UGs in an alleged fake encounter, a public meeting was held at Tumukhong Youth Social Organisation ground today and unanimously resolved to launch agitation against the Assam Rifles.

The meeting condemned the act of the AR personnel in killing the surrendered UG cadres and demanded that Major Hanuman who was involved in the fake encounter killing be booked and taken up legal actions against him.

Speaking at the public meeting, Laishram Shyam, father of late L Nobin said that he met with Major Hanuman a number of times and discussed the matter of surrendering his son to the government.

After positive signs from Major Hanuman, he informed his son about the surrender process.

His son along with two of his other friends surrendered to Major Hanuman with some arms and ammunition.

However they were tortured and later killed.

The clarification of AR made to the media is all false and baseless, the father contended.
