NPO condemns shutdown call, warns Govt

Senapati, March 12 2025: Naga People's Organisation (NPO) has strongly condemned the ongoing indefinite shutdown call given by Kuki-Zo Council and asked the government to lift the shutdown within 24 hours to avoid unwanted consequences.

In a press release, NPO stated that the ongoing indefinite shutdown has caused immense hardships to the general public, affecting their daily lives, livelihoods and access to essential services.

NPO urged the government to take immediate action to restore normalcy or the Naga people may be forced to take its own course of action.

NPO also demanded that the government must take immediate steps to lift the total shutdown and restore free flow of essential services to the state capital.

NPO further warned that failure to comply within 24 hours will lead to further action including legal recourse.
