Imphal, December 11 2017: Meitei Nationalist Front, an organisation for the welfare of the Meitei community aimed at brinGing economical and cultural development, was formed on December 3 .

Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, Chingtham Birendra, convenor of the newly formed organisation, stated that K Mahendrakumar has been appointed as the president along with 10 other executive members affiliated with Meitei Apunba Lup Front and are currently in the process of registration .

He said that the organisation will look after the Meitei people living in different parts of the country and that the organisation will work for the development of economy and also carry out green revolution as well as cultural revolution .

On the other hand, Birendra said that recently, on a recent meeting with the people of Maram village, the Maram organisations have extended support to the organisation and also assured to provide some area of land for cultivation .

As such the organisation is planning to visit Maram on December 16 to hold a talk .

The village chief of Singda Chiru village has also assured to extend support to the organisations and the members will visit Singda Dam Chiru village tomorrow, he added.
