AR celebrates National Education Day

Imphal, November 11 2024: Assam Rifles celebrated National Education Day with a series of educational activities on Monday at the Assam Rifles Public School (ARPS), Mantripukhri, and at other locations in Imphal West District.

According to a release issued by HQ IGAR(South), this event aimed to highlight the importance of education in individual and societal development, in line with the vision of Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad, whose contributions to education are commemorated on this day.

The celebrations commence at ARPS with an inspiring speech emphasizing the pivotal role of education in shaping a brighter future for the youth.

Students actively participated in various activities, including quizzes, essay writing competitions, and cultural performances.

The enthusiastic involvement of both students and teachers fostered an environment of learning and creativity.

Following the school activities, Assam Rifles organised an outreach programme in Imphal West to raise awareness about the importance of education in rural and remote areas.

This initiative included a speech and an interactive session focused on the significance of formal education and skill development.

"National Education Day serves as a reminder that education is not solely about academics; it is a powerful tool for empowerment, development, and social transformation.

It is our responsibility to ensure that the benefits of education reach every comer of society, especially those in remote and underserved areas", said an official from Assam Rifles.

The event was well-received by the local community and schools alike, underscoring Assam Rifles' continued commitment to supporting education as a Fundamental Right and empowering future generations for a better tomorrow.

A total of 200 students and 16 teachers attended the event at ARPS, while 60 civilians participated in the outreach programme in Imphal West.

Through such initiatives, Assam Rifles reinforced its dedication to fostering educational opportunities and community development across the region.
