Talented Tangkhul women take centre-stage on day-3 of NTNBA conference

A host of talented Tangkhul women took the mammoth congregation by storm with a breathtaking display of myriad of god-given talents on the day third of the ongoing Northern Tangkhul Naga Baptist Association (NTNBA) being hosted by the Phungyo Baptist Church at TNL Ground, Ukhrul.
Breaking with the stereotyped image of home-makers, a dozen members of NTNBA Women Fellowship Saturday enthralled the 2240-strong congregation with their magnificent talents during the noon session.
Women from Sihai Khullen, New Tusom and Nungbi Khullen villages displayed their skills in making pottery and other handicraft and decorative items including traditional carriage baskets, while women from Chingjaroi, Marem villages and NTNBA female choir exhibited their talents in dancing and choreography.

Besides, women members from Langdang Phungdhar and Peh Ngahurum villages and Phungyo Church came up with singing prowess.
Topping up the show, women from Shirui village and NTNBA choir had the crowd dissolved into laughter with their jokes.
Earlier in the morning worship service, Dr.Josiah Zingkhai Lect AEC & S delivered a sermon about how God inspired the past believers to plant the Gospel Church on earth.
He dissected various strategies in doing so citing various examples on the significance of team & door to door evangelism, leadership & training and religious and cultural aspects of planting Gospel Church.
During the day's event, Khangkhui Phungdhar Baptist Church also performed various Tangkhul cultural dance and items including male-female tug of war among others.
