UDWJA condoles demise of TPC's Satyajit

Imphal, October 08 2024: Ukhrul District Working Journalists' Association (UDWJA) has expressed deep sadness on the untimely demise of Satyajit Usham, senior subeditor of The People's Chronicle, who passed away on October 6.In a release, UDWJA president R Lester Makang and secretary Mingyashin Shaiza remembered Satyajit as a passionate journalist with an exceptional career marked by dedication, integrity, and commitment to his profession.

His contributions to various publications, including Matamgi Yakairol, The Sangai Express, Huiyen Lanpao, and The People's Chronicle, have left a lasting impact on the journalistic community of Manipur.

His work, recognised with the Best Editor Award in 2013, demonstrated his unwavering pursuit of excellence.

Beyond his professional achievements, Satyajit was a beloved husband and father, and our thoughts are with his wife and two sons during this difficult time, it said.

"UDWJA joins the state's press fraternity in offering our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues.

May his soul rest in eternal peace," UDWJA said.
