Thoubal, January 08 2020: In connection with the case of August 24, 2019, where a team of Thoubal Police along with the locals of Phoudei Keirambi seized forty lakhs WY tablets from the possession of one Md Hussain (35), s/o Zakir Hussain of Thoubal Wangkhem Muslim Mamang Leikai, Thoubal District, a team of Thoubal and Tripura Police arrested one more individual identified as Biman Das (38), s/o (L) Bimal Das from Gandhigram Village, Tripura on January 4, said a press release issued by Thoubal SP, Dr S Ibomcha Singh.

The statement continued that after getting transit permission from the Court concerned, the police team and the accused person (Biman Das) arrived at Imphal on January 7, 2020.So far 7 individuals namely Md Ayub Khan (41), s/o (L) Md Azizur Rahaman of Yairipok Wangkhem; Md Abdul Rajaque (35), s/o Md Abdul Halim of Yairpok Tulihal; Mohammad Hussain (35), s//o Zakir Hussain of Thoubal Wangkhem Muslim Mamang Leikai; Kyaw Kyaw alias Abdul Rahim (33), s/o Adbul Jabar alias Ula Sin of Kawhmu Village, Myanmar; Jhutan Malakar, s/o Shyamlal Malakar of Kamalkur Village , Tripura; Tanmoy Pal, s/o Tapan Kanti Pal of Krishnapur, Tripura and Biman Das (38), s/o (L) Bimal Das of Gandhigram Kathaltali Village, Tripura were arrested in connection with the case, added the statement.
