National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) MHA New Delhi awarded Sub Inspector Kh Sanjoy Singh of Imphal East now attached to CCTNS/CID(CB) and Head Constable P Budhi Singh of Jiribam PS with certificates and mementos in recognition of their significant contribution to the implementation of Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems/Inter-operable Criminal Justice System (CCTNS/ICJS) Project in the State.
The certificates and mementos were handed over to the awardees by LM Khaute IPS Director General of Police Manipur at the State Police Headquarters today in the presence of senior officers of the department.
Sources said that Manipur is among the 18 States/UTs in the country and is the only State in the North East to achieve the benchmark set by NCRB as the qualifying criterion for sending recommendation for the individual award to NCRB/MHA which is completion of an average 60 percent of the project activities as per CCTNS Pragati Dashboard in 2020.CCTNS is a Mission Mode Project under the National E-Governance Plan (NeGP) of Government of India and aims at creating a comprehensive and integrated system for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of policing through IT enabled state of the art tracking system around 'Investigation of crime and detection of criminals.
