Imphal, December 04 2020: The Association of 2016 MR waiting list (male) has demanded approval of their appointment by December 20, failing which the association will resort to various forms of protest against the Government.

Speaking to the media at Manipur Press Club today, Maibam Shivratri, spokesperson of the association, said the result of the 2016 MR waiting list was declared on June 25, 2020 and 44 candidates were selected from the list and verification for the newly selected candidates took 15 days.

However, after the completion of verification, the joining approval has not been given to them, added Shivratri.

He added that the candidates in the waiting list had faced enough hardship during the 4 years period between recruitment and final declaration of result on June 25 and even now 6 months after verification had been done, their appointment has not been approved yet.
