Children home extends gratitude to Shangshak Battalion of AR

The Destitute Children Home, Ukhrul, which cares for 50 children, has extended its heartfelt gratitude to the Shangshak Battalion of Assam Rifles for their generous assistance following the devastation caused by Cyclone Remal.
Notably, the cyclone, which struck the Bay of Bengal coast in the last week of May 2024 caused immense damage and loss of property in the institute.
According to a statement issued by Reisangpem Shaiza.
Superintendent, Destitute Children Home, the Shangshak Battalion of Assam Rifles arrived at the institute on June 3 with a collection of relief materials gathered from Assam Rifles personnel and students of Assam Rifles Public School at Shangshak.
The relief materials consisted of ready to eat items like bread, biscuits, chocolate, etc alongwith cereals, pulses, tea and coffee, milk.
fresh vegetables and fruits.
The relief package also included sanitary items and clothing.
It may be noted that the Children Home authorities had sought intervention from the civil administration in the aftermath of the harsh cyclone.
Conveying profound appreciation for their kind gesture, the Destitute Children Home has prayed for the Shangshak Battalion's continued success in their humanitarian efforts.
