Annual Medical Society meet begins

Imphal, March 03 2012: Director of RIMS Prof S Sekharjit inaugurated the two-day long 2nd annual conference of Medical Society at Jubilee Hall today.

Prof T Premchand, Prof T Bidhumukhi, Dean Prof W Gyaneswor and Prof Arunkumar were also present on the dais.

The theme for this year's conference was 'Chronic Hepatitis' .

Speaking on the occasion, Prof Sekharjit expressed hope that the conference would give an opportunity to the post-graduate students to further their studies while completing the PG course.

The faculty members and other non-teaching staff would also get a chance to showcase their activities to let the people know all about RIMS.

Prof Sekharjit further informed that the financial assistance to the conference has been doubled compard to the last session and promised to foot the entire bill for the next session.

During the conference Dr AS Soin from Gurgaon spoke on 'Liver transplantation.

Prof Sekharjit, Prof N Damayanti, Dr P Gayatri, Dr N Biplab, Dr Kalyan Bose and Dr GS Moirangthem also spoke on various topics.
