Mushroom cultivation training programme ends

RAMA Foundation in collaboration with ACA-HUB successfully conducted a training programme on the cultivation of various types of mushrooms, spawn production and vermi-compost from July 26 to 31, 2024, at Sangaiprou, Imphal.
According to a release issued by RAMA Foundation, the programme brought together participants from five different districts of Manipur.
Additionally, a free health checkup was conducted by Dr Sweta Thinguja and Dr Kasangailu Golrnei, consultants from the Multi-Specialty Ayurvedic Clinic Panchakarma Center and Pharmacy, RIMS Road, Imphal.
During the 6-days programme, health consultants Ksh Shreejasmi and Kh Jibanlata Devi from Yening Nutrition Centre, Uripok, also provided free skill development training.
Resource persons Soram Rajendra Kumar and Mongshangbam Lucky delivered talks on scientific methods of mushroom cultivation, disease management, identification of poisonous mushrooms, value-added products such as pickles and dried mushrooms, marketing, and financial assistance.
The training programme was conducted with the objective to increase production, empower individuals with valuable skills to improve their quality of life, and help them become more self-reliant.
