Imphal, July 02 2013: Expressing strong reservations against the failure of bringing up the issue of constituting National Highway Protection Force during the ongoing State Assembly session, Manipur People's Party (MPP) has exerted pressure on the State government to give an definite assurance on the matter.

Despite the long standing demand of the people for instituting NH Protection Force to ensure the safety of vehicles, drivers and passengers from untoward incidents created my highway miscreants, the present MLAs and Ministers have not even deemed it fit for discussion in the House, Heigrujam Nabashyam, Spokesperson of MPP, lamented in a statement.

So, the present government should be held responsibility of any unpleasant incidents that took along the highways, Nabashyam categorically added.
