Combined annual training camp concluded

Imphal, March 02 2021: The fourth Combined Annual Training Camp for B and C certificate aspirants was concluded today.

The training camp organised by 14 (M) Bn NCC under the aegis of NCC Group HQ, Imphal was started from February 24 at Imphal.

150 cadets from various educational institutions of the state participated in the camp.

Addressing the cadets, Brig RS Sethi, Group Commander NCC Imphal explained to the cadets the very purpose of the camp, as also the benefit they draw from being in NCC with respect to personality development, career opportunities, empowerment, social and community development issues and contribution in nation building.

During the camp, cadets were given an exposure to realistic map reading training by organising the same at Cheirao Ching hill.

Training was imparted on various military subjects like Map Reading, Field Craft, Firing and navigation.

In addition to the training a series of lectures explaining how to join the army both as officers and soldiers was organised for the cadets.

It was ensured during the camp that all necessary COVID 19 protocol like maintaining of physical distancing, regular washing of hands and sanitization of training aids was religiously followed.

Medical cover and security was provided to the cadets by SP, Imphal (West) and CMO Imphal (West) .

69 CRPF Bn, Mantripukhri assisted in conducting Small Arms firing of cadets.

The camp culminated with drill competition of high standards.

During the closing ceremony, Col Somnath Gupta, CO 14 (M) BN NCC gave away following awards :-

Col Somnath Gupta complimented the cadets for putting their best efforts and successfully completing the camp.

He emphasised that NCC teaches us to face challenges in life and eventually become a winner in every sphere of life and added that NCC cadets should carry forward all the good things learnt in the camp and follow them in their life.
