AR provides life-saving medical aid

The Assam Rifles provided lifesaving medical assistance to two residents of Nungshang village who were critically ill due to mushroom poisoning.
Ramila (70) and Anthony (60) had inadvertently consumed poisonous mushrooms and exhibited serious symptoms, said a press release issued by IGAR (S) .
This prompted their family members to take immediate action and they reached out to Assam Rifles for urgent help.
Responding with utmost urgency, the patients were swiftly transported to the Assam Rifles location, where a dedicated medical team awaited their arrival.
Upon admission, the medical team took immediate measures to stabilize the two individuals by administering first aid specifically tailored to counteract the toxic effects of the mushrooms.
After their condition stabilized, both patients were transferred to the District Hospital in Ukhrul for comprehensive treatment and observation.
The quick response and professionalism displayed by the medical staff of the Assam Rifles were instrumental in saving the lives of these villagers.
This intervention underscores the Force's readiness to respond to emergencies.
