Imphal, November 01 2023: Football bodies including Th Birachandra Singh Football Academy (TBSFA), Veteran Soccer Association Imphal and United Veteran Football Association (UVFA) joined hands in mourning the demise of Chingtham Anandkumar, SDPO Moreh and a veteran footballer who was killed while performing his duties in Moreh.

His contributions as a veteran player was recalled during a condolence meeting held today at TBSFA complex, said the academy in a statement.

UVFA, in a statement, also recalled his participation in the Sangai Trophy Veteran Football tournament right from the inaugural edition.

UVFA also noted that he was not just a mere player but also an enthusiast who also contributed monetarily and physically to many sports organisations.

TBSFA, UVFA and VSAI members also observed two minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul and shared grief of the bereaved family members, said the association in separate statements.
