NYK Chandel's Swachh Bharat Summer Internship ends

Chandel, July 31 2019: The Swachh Bharat Summer Internship programme, launched on June 10 under the Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Chandel for the NYK affiliated youth clubs has ended today.

Around 350 youths took part in the programme.

2,500 saplings were planted in 20 different villages of Chandel during the programme.

Waste management, pond rejuvenation, villages cleanliness, poster campaigns, door to door plastic free campaigns and various awareness programmes on cleanliness were performed by the youth clubs.

Purum Pantha Youth Club, Liwa Chagning Youth and Cultural Club, ECO Care Club Kapaam, Lambung Youth and Cultural Club, Japhou Youth Club, Monsang Pantha Youth Club, Charangching Youth Club, Lieshokching Youth Club, Zou Youth Association and Purum Chumabng Youth Club took active part in the programme.

First three winners of the internship programme will be announced after August 15 by a 4-member committee.
