BJP state executive meet begins

BJP Manipur Pradesh has commenced its state executive meet from Wednesday at the party's Nityaipat Chuthek office here with national spokesperson Sambit patra and BJP northeast in-charge Ajay Jamwal in the chair.
Chief minister N Biren, who also attended the meet, observed that the state government has been successful in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic due to timely intervention and able guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The state did not have adequate oxygen plants, ventilators and oxygen concentrators when the pandemic hit the state but today, adequate facilities have been installed and necessary equipment procured.
The BJP government made sure that the benefits of all the Prime Minister's flagship schemes reach every household through Go to Hills and Go to village campaign.
He also said the government is free from public dissent and asked the party workers if they have knowledge of any public protest against the government during its tenure.
BJP is a party with strict principle and it believes in nationalism, discipline and commitment.
During his poll campaign at Langjing, PM Modi promised to do in 15 months what the previous Congress government could not in 15 years.
That promise was a major challenge for the BJP led government in the state but the government is performing well, he said.
Biren also said that coverage of household water supply connection has increased from 6 per cent to 40 per cent under the BJP government.
Sambit Patra said that Manipur is the first among the northeast states with a woman BJP president.
Women are the pillars of the society and the state is known for its historic Ima Keithel, he said and urged the party leaders and workers to work with full cooperation and coordination with state president Sarda Devi.
The forthcoming state assembly election is a crucial one and Covid-19 pandemic will be the agenda for the election.
As such, the government as well as the party needs to manage the pandemic effectively.
Effective management and rapid vaccination will be key agenda of the election, he said.
Newly appointed president A Sarda Devi emphasised on the role of youth and women wings in strengthening the party.
They should uphold the party's commitment and principle while following the guidelines from the booth level, she said.
