Co-ordinating Body Khurai gifts lunch packages to truckers

Imphal, April 30 2020: Coordinating Body Khurai has distributed lunch packages to truck drivers who are ferrying essential commodities amidst the coronavirus inflicted lockdown.

A team of Sekmai police led by SI Prameshwor Mongjam assisted the members and volunteers of the body in distributing the lunch packages, said a statement of the body today.

Acknowledging the risk the truckers are taking amidst the coronavirus outbreak, the body has sought the attention of the Government and authorities concerned to provide the truckers with life insurance of not less than Rs 5 lakh.
