AR lends helping hand to orphanage

Imphal, March 31 2012: Jwalamukhi Battalion of Assam Rifles, Senapati Brigade under Red Shield Division provided assistance to children of Motbung orphanage in Senapati district in a function held on March 29, stated a press release of PIB (DW) today.

Commander Senapati Brigade along with Jwalamukhi Battalion of Assam Rifles visited the orphanage and interacted with young children.

At present 50 children are staying in orphanage and Assam Rifles has been providing them with assistance from time to time.

The young kids showed lots of enthusiasm in welcoming and meeting the guests.

Commander Senapati Brigade promised all the possible help to the orphanage from Assam Rifles.

He also distributed sweets, stationery and other daily use items required by the children.

The children participated enthusiastically and sincerely thanked for the friendly gesture of Assam Rifles, it added.
