Annual general body meeting of IRCS held

Imphal, January 31 2017: Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Manipur State Branch, presented its annual report on the programme and activities taken up during the period 2012-16, at a gathering held at Banquet Hall, Raj Bhavan, Imphal, today.

Hon'ble Governor Dr.Najma Heptullah, President of Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur State Branch, along with Shri R.K.Nimai, Consultant, Shri Chittaranjan, Secretary to the Governor and members of the Society attended the gathering.

In her opening remark Hon'ble Governor and President of the Society, Dr.Najma Heptullah, acknowledging the services rendered by the Society to the people of the world in many difficult times, says that the State branch will also deliver its service to the people during disasters and difficult times.

A 1(one) minute silence was also observed for World Peace by all the participants.

Dr..YMohen, General Secretary, IRCS, Manipur State branch presented the annual report on the programme and activities taken up by the Society during the period 2012-2016 .

Participants of the National Youth Exchange Programme held at Moga, Punjab, presented the Khamba-Thoibi Dance and a poem entitled 'India of my Dream' which bagged the 1st prize in the Exchange Programme.

The team also bagged the Overall Best Team Trophy of the National Youth Exchange Programme.
