Remand for NIPCO president, 4 others till Nov 3

NIPCO president and four others arrested in connection with October 20 bomb blast in which one CRPF personnel was killed while another jawan was injured were produced before a Duty Magistrate yesterday and taken into police remand till November 3 .
NIPCO president Oinam Premjit, his wife Oinam (o) Pinky Devi, NIPCO secretary organization Shahubuddin Chesaba and Khaidem Sana were produced before the Duty Magistrate last night with the prayer for remanding them in police custody for further investigation.
The Duty Magistrate after hearing the plea of the police remanded them to police custody till November 3 .
Another accused Yumlembam Milan who was arrested yesterday late in the evening was produced before the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate today along with a prayer for remanding him to police custody for five days.
IO of the case through the APP submitted that the accused was arrested yesterday from Chana village after he was named as one directly involved in the case by the other accused.
The IO further submitted that Y Milan is a trained cadre of the UNLF and he is highly required to be interrogated in the case to extract all the facts of the crime and prayed for five days police custody.
After hearing the submission and perusing the case the Court remanded Y Milan to police custody for five days till November 3 .
