JAC condemns MLA's absence in Monsoon session

Jiribam, July 29 2018: The JAC against the Base Year 1951 of Manipur People's Bill 2018, held a meeting today at Lalpani Jiribam and observed the absence of Jiribam AC MLA Md Ashab Uddin in the Manipur Legislative Assembly, where the Bill was passed recently.

A joint press release issued by president and secretary of JAC against the Base year 1951 of Manipur People's Bill 2018 condemned the absence of local MLA and for not raising any motion against the bill in the assembly.

It expressed dissatisfaction towards the N Biren led BJP Government for not respecting the sentiments of the Bengali communities in Jiribam.

The Bengali communities in Jiribam has urged MLA Ashab Uddin to withdraw his support from the N Biren led BJP Government.
