Tengnoupal, January 28 2020: The inaugural function of the 3-day residential training of youth club leaders on community development began yesterday at Laiching Meipou Villagem, Tengnoupal District.

The inaugural function was graced by Dr Cingdeinieng, District AIDs Control Officer, Chandel as a chief guest; Ng Rameson Monsang, District Youth Co-ordinator, Nehru Yuba Kendra Chandel as functional president and Makunga Mothil, secretary Meipou Village as guest of honour.

Speaking at the event, Dr Cingdeinieng urged the youth to take important roles in eradicating such deadly diseases from the community.

Addressing the youth, Ng Rameson Monsang stressed on the roles of youth in community development and Nation building while social activist Nungchim Adelina and Khullak Todou Dangsha, supervisor ICDS, gave lectures on social media, dignity of women and women empowerment respectively.

Around 60 youth leaders from different clubs and CSOs attended the programme.
