Lions Club of Imphal organises Peace Poster contest

Imphal, October 27 2019: Lions Club of Imphal organised a Peace Poster Contest for school children at its Service Centre at Sangaiprou today.

The contest was held under the theme "Journey of Peace" .

A total of 19 students participated in the contest.

Juliana Thoidingjam of Kendriya Vidyalaya Lamphelpat won the first prize which carries an award of Rs 5,000 .

Tanushree Tongbram Shishu Nistha Niketan and Presila Heikrujam of Kendriya Vidyalaya Lamphelpat won the second (Rs 3,000) and third (Rs 2,000) prizes respectively, said a statement of Lion M Manas Singh, Lions Club of Imphal.

Lions Clubs is organising the International Peace Poster Contest world-wide for over three decades.

The main objective of the contest is to give children the chance to express their vision of peace through the medium of creative art, said Lions Club Imphal.
