Imphal, October 27 2018:
Organisation for Indian Women Against Crime (OIWAC) has strongly condemned the 'suspicious death' of Nongthombam Ningol Maisnam (O) Tamphaebemma (36) at the residence of her husband by hanging on October 24 .
Speaking to The Sangai Express, OIWAC secretary Arambam Robita alleged that the death of the 7 months pregnant woman, at her husband's residence at Singjamei Chinga Makha is suspicious and added that the deceased married Maisnam Rubi three years ago.
Tamphaebemma who completed her Master's degree from Mumbai Women College and received doctorate degree from Manipur University had reportedly sent 'suicide note' to her friends via WhatsApp.
The 'suicide note' on WhatsApp revealed the hardship she faced before committing suicide, Robita said.
Identifying the hardship and suffering she faced at her husband's house as the cause of the 'suspicious death', OIWAC urged the authorities concerned to probe the matter at the earliest so as to avoid such unwanted incident in the future.
