UNLF claims responsibility for Satang attack

The proscribed United National Liberation Front (UNLF) has claimed responsibility for the October 25 morning ambush on 24 Assam Rifles B 'Coy' personnel at a location between Satang village and Kwatha of Chandel District.
In a press note issued by UNLF Department of Publicity Director M Sak-hen, the outfit said the ambush was launched on a AR patrolling party by UNLF's Manipur People's Army (MPA) fighting patrol.
The UNLF claimed that in the attack by MPA, one AR personnel was killed and two sustained injuries.
After the attack, the two sides exchanged fire for a long time, said the press release.
UNLF also claimed that on the same day at around 6.45 pm, an MPA demolition team threw grenade at the 86 CRPF convoy passing by near RIMS road near Arambam Nityananda.
The press release said that UNLF will continue launching such attacks on "IOF" as part of its campaign to liberate Manipur and till the occupying forces were ousted from Manipur's soil.
