COHSEM improvement examination 2018 result declared

Imphal, June 27 2018:
The Higher Secondary Improvement Examination 2018 conducted by Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) was declared today.
Declaring the examination results at COHSEM office at Babupara today, its Chairman L Mahendra informed that the pass percentage is 93.29 and the mark sheets will be provided from June 30.A total of 4297 students enrolled for the examination and 4262 appeared the test (with 3976 students passing the exam).
For Arts stream, 783 out of 805 (97.27 percent) passed, 58 out of 73 (79.45 percent) passed in Commerce stream while 3135 out of 3384 (92.64 percent) passed in the Science stream, the Chairman said.
He narrated that the Higher Secondary Examinations 2018 was declared on May 3 .
By June 2, students enrolled for the Improvement Examination which was held on June 19.Declaration of the results took only around 8 days, the Chairman added.
The improvement examination was organised for those students who did bad in one or two subjects, so that they could have a chance to pursue further studies in time.
Claiming that COHSEM can now be regarded as an institution which performs with an aim, the Chairman credited the staff and officers of the council for the achievement.
Replying to a query, L Mahendra said that the State Government has instructed all the colleges concerned to reserve necessary seats in light of the students who were scheduled for the improvement examination.
However, how the colleges will manage the number of seats is not known to the Council.
COHSEM Joint Secretary Bhabudon Sapamcha and Controller of Examinations Ph Mantri as well as other officials were also present during the declaration of the results.
