AR man found involved in abduction

Imphal, March 26 2012:
In a dramatic turn of event, personnel of 35 AR was found to have been involved in the abduction of a salesman of a chicken centre at Churachandpur district for ransom.
According to source, Khwairakpam Ibungo (41) son of Kh Komol of Khumujamba Meetei Leikai was abducted by three unidentified armed persons on the night of Saturday for a ransom of Rs 1 lakh.
The AR personnel involved in the abduction has been identified as Marin Sanglen Chothe son of Amuthe Chothe of New Wangparal Cillege under Chandel district but presently staying at Khoyathong, Imphal.
He is attached with 35 Bn Assam Rifles at Sajik Tampak and his rifleman number is 5005547 .
The matter came to light when Churachandpur police arrested the abductors from G Khonom village (near Khuga Dam) and rescued Ibungo from their clutches last evening.
Of the other two kidnappers, one has been identified as Satkitheng Kipgen alias Timothy (23), son of Khailam Kipgen of Saikul under Senapati district.
He is said to be cadre of KLO/KLA (Timothy group).The identity of the third abductor could not be confirmed till the time of filing this report.
Police is still investigating into the incident.
