Imphal, August 25 2024: Sahitya Thoupang Lup and RKCS Museum jointly organised a lectureprogramme on the topic, "Image of patriotism in paintings" at RKCS Art Gallery, Keishamthong today.

The programme was chaired by Sahitya Akademi Awardee Arambam (o) Memchoubi.

Speaking on the occasion, Sahitya Akademi Awardee Saratchand Thiyam said that in a world filled with political divides and social unrest, patriotic art has the power to unite, inspire, and ignite a deep sense of love for one's country.

He asserted that the programme was conducted to discuss patriotic paintings which can inspire love for a country through imagination and creativity.

Lalit Kala Akademi Awardee Thoidingjam Tombi Singh also delivered a lecture on the topic, "Image of patriotism in paintings".

Later, a poem recitation session was also conducted.

Moreover, Nongchup Imphal Palem Ima Apunba Lup (NIMPAL) organised a 1-day awareness programme on the role of youths and parents at Uripok Khumanthem Leikai Apunba Nupo Lup Meira Sanglen today.

It was attended by NIMPAL president Th Ibeyaima and Imphal Western Club president W Sormorjit as presidium members.
