Three fresh cases take active tally to 10

The number of active cases of Covid-19 in the state has reached 10 on Saturday as government bulletins reported three new positive cases out of 55 samples tested in the last 24 hours, thus, registering 5.45 per cent positivity rate.
All the three fresh cases are male residents of Noney district.
No patient was discharged in the last 24 hours and nine out of the 10 active cases are in home isolation.
Till date, the pandemic has claimed 2120 lives including seven CAPF personnel and infected 1,37,254 individuals including 5,014 CAPF personnel.
The virus has claimed lives of 194 vaccinated people, out of which 61 had received second doses of Covid vaccine.
There are 14 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 47 in RIMS.
So far, the state has recorded 11,466 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 16 new positive cases and no fatality.
A total of 85 D-type and 28 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours and 2988 vaccine doses administered on Friday which took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 15,90,065, out of which 12,54,786 had received second doses and 1,06,982 had taken precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (48757), Imphal East (30457), Thoubal (10161), Churachandpur (11054), Kangpokpi (3136), Tamenglong (3478), Bishnupur (9843), Senapati (2493), Ukhrul (3279), Kakching (6896), Chandel (2726), Noney (1161), Tengnoupal (1201), Jiribam (1111), Kamjong (1036), and Pherzawl (465).Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,233 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,837 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,20,270 tests per million population against the national average of 6,11,504 TPM.
Case fatality rate stands at 1.54 per cent while the recovery rate stands at 98.45 per cent.
The cumulative positivity rate stands 8.50 per cent.
