KVK organises skill training for youth

Imphal, October 23 2019: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Imphal West under ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region Manipur Centre, conducted a seven-day skill training for rural youth on "Quality seed production for Cereals and Oilseeds" from October 16 to 22.It was organised under National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management and sponsored by Ministry of Agriculture and farmers Welfare, GoI.

Joint Director ICAR Manipur Centre N Prakash, Deputy Director, MANAGE Dr Shalendra, i/c head KVK Imphal West as well as subject matter specialist of KVK Imphal West and CEO and project coordinator of Farmer Producer Organisation Kh Hera.

Altogether 15 youths attended the training programme who were trained on various topics of quality seed production for cereals and oilseeds.

S Gunamani, SMS, Plant Breeding, Course Director, Dr Lydia Zimik, SMS Agronomy, L Kanta, SMS, SWCE, Kh Hera, CTO Agri Engg, Dr IM Singh, Principal Scientist attended as resource persons among others.
